Heather joined our church staff in 2022 after several years of teaching preschool. Before joining staff in her full-time role, she served for eight years as a youth ministry volunteer and as a member of the Kids Camp staff. She holds a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine and an Early Childhood Education certificate from Merritt College.
As our Ministry Associate, Heather works with Pastor Sarah and Rhonda to lead our Youth Ministry, with an emphasis on High School Group. Alongside Christina she directs our summer Kids Camp, coordinating and equipping counselors, communicating with parents, and managing day-to-day camp operations. Finally, Heather also supports our Care Ministries, working with Tracy to track care needs and handling behind-the-scenes logistics for our Celebrate Life luncheons.
Outside of work, Heather is heavily involved with her local dance studio. She mostly performs tap, jazz, and lyrical, and occasionally does events with a Bay Area circus.
