Marco has served on the pastoral staff at FCC since 2004. The child of Mexican and Nicaraguan immigrants, Marco grew up as a pastor’s kid, worship leader, and preacher in the Latino Pentecostal church in Texas, Louisiana, and California. He also served as a Pastor at a Korean Presbyterian Church for several years before joining staff at FCC. He holds a B.A. in Pastoral Studies from Patten University and an M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Marco loves serving the local church as a leader and teacher, helping people hear God in fresh ways, and having faith conversations with people from different backgrounds. He works in collaboration with our staff and church board to cast and implement vision, develop leaders, and disciple the congregation.
He and his wife, Nicole, along with their teenage children, love calling Oakland their home. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, sports, playing music, reading, and occasionally roasting coffee in his backyard.
