Danny began playing volleyball at First Covenant Church, Oakland while he was in high school. Throughout college he played in many grass 2v2 tournaments. He has since gone on to coach at the middle school and high school levels. Danny is married to the amazing Bethany and is a dad to two awesome daughters.

Sarah Henry has been playing volleyball for almost three decades. She found her love for volleyball while playing libero on school and club teams and hasn’t stopped. Her passion is watching other kids fall in love with volleyball and pushing them to reach their full potential.

David first started playing volleyball at his home church in Chicago, IL. He played libero for his high school all four years and has since coached middle school volleyball at various schools in San Leandro. David is married and welcomed his first child this past summer.

Jeannie first fell in love with volleyball on a 7th grade middle school camping trip. After that life-altering experience, she played on the high school co-ed volleyball team and managed the boys varsity team throughout her high school years. Although she didn't pursue playing for college, she continued to play with friends and co-workers until her triplet daughters took an interest in the sport. Now she coaches for a middle school in Berkeley, as well as for a 14u club team. When she's not coaching she loves to bake sourdough bread and perfect her pastry recipes.

Leila has played volleyball for the past six years at the national club level and on her varsity high school team. Since the start of her journey at Montera Middle School, she has played every position with the exception of setter. She was an assistant coach in 2023 for club volleyball clinics and has since helped coach her high school JV team. Right now, she is focused on finishing her senior year of high school, and she's super excited to meet the athletes!

Jonnette is a passionate volleyball coach and skilled behavioral therapist whose career is rooted in a lifelong love of the sport and a deep commitment to helping children grow, both on and off the court. A proud alumna of Montera Middle School in Oakland, California, Jonnette’s journey with volleyball began at Montera, where she first picked up the sport. Her talent and love for the game grew throughout high school, and even into college, where she played intramural volleyball. Even after graduation, Jonnette remained an active player, continuing to participate in local gym volleyball games. In 2021, Jonnette returned to Montera to give back to the community that shaped her. Under her leadership, the varsity volleyball team made it to the semifinals multiple times, including a standout undefeated season in 2023. Her coaching style blends firm discipline with a clear commitment to fun, ensuring her athletes not only develop their skills but also enjoy the process of learning and growth.

Jose was born and raised in Colombia and now lives in the Bay Area with his wife, baby boy and two dogs (Luna and Stormy). His daytime work is in tech and volleyball remains his passion since playing competitively during his high school days. Jose enjoys being a part of Rockstars and seeing others grow in their volleyball skills.

I began playing volleyball my 9th grade summer at the Skyline High School volleyball clinics! I was on JV for 2 years, and Varsity for the other 2. I have found some of my best friends through volleyball and have learned so many values like leadership, integrity, and respect. Outside of volleyball I spend most of my time hiking, working out, in the kitchen, and thrifting!

Toni was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and started playing volleyball in 6th grade. She was an OH all through high school, and ended her career playing MB for Starlings C.O.L.A. In college, she switched over to rowing at Middlebury College in VT, but came back to volleyball and has played in the Richmond Adult League for 3 years. Toni is the Dean of Students and Head Volleyball Coach at Richmond College Prep. This is her 6th year coaching, and she’s really excited to be a part of the Rockstars family!

Yao began playing volleyball at a young age, and it quickly became an activity that helped bring his community together. Now a father of three, he hopes to share both the skills and the joy of the game with the next generation. When his daughter Leah recently started playing, it reignited his passion and brought him back to the court.
